Your first mystery ships within 1-2 business days after you place your order. Then we ship a new mystery each month to our active plan members during the last week of each month. Most members receive their new monthly mystery before the end of the month, but there are always a few who receive it during the first few week of the next month.
For month-to-month plans, you’ll pay for your first murder mystery as soon as you place your order. Then you'll be billed monthly on the last day of each month. All of our plans renew on the last day of each month. For multi-month prepaid plans, you'll pay the full plan amount when you place your order. Then you'll be billed again at the end of the plan term (if your plan remains active) for the next term.
Each new mystery is filled with intriguing items to conduct your investigation and catch the killer. The contents of each mystery vary, but each new case includes items such as crime scene evidence, investigation files, suspect profiles, mysterious letters and documents, maps and floor plans, puzzling clues, evidence photographs, text message transcripts, DNA evidence, interviews, witness statements, fingerprint evidence, newspaper articles, police and FBI reports, and much more! Some of our mysteries also include online multi-media elements including audio clips, videos, and fictional podcast episodes.
Each mystery contains a website address for the online solution. Check your detective skills against the official solution that includes a step-by-step walkthrough of how to correctly solve the case, identify the killer, and determine the motive for murder.
We have found that parents and teachers vary widely in what they find appropriate for children and teens of different ages. The content of our mystery games is oriented more toward adults, but no more so than you would find on a typical episode of Criminal Minds or CSI on television. For most folks, we suggest ages 12 and up.
Our mysteries are designed to be enjoyed by a solo investigator, two persons working together, or in small groups. Play by yourself, with a friend or on date night, or gather a group of friends and family for a group experience.
Our design studio and business offices are located in Florida and our production facility is in Ohio. All of our games are designed, assembled, and shipped entirely in the United States.
No. Our mysteries are all fictional, but some are inspired by real life or historical events.
There is no limit to the amount of people who can play because our mysteries are cooperative and players work together to solve the case. For very late, groups, consider splitting into teams and competing against each other with multiple copies of the mystery.
Our mysteries are designed to be solved in 2-4 hours, depending on your skill level and focus. Some players enjoy taking their time and immersing themselves in the experience, while others prefer to solve the case in a race against the clock to see how fast they can complete the investigation.
Currently, our murder mysteries are only available with membership in our Monthly Mystery Club (you may cancel your membership at any time by logging into your account on our website -- you don't have to call or email us).
